Ramune’ is also called Lemonade in English. It is a Japanese carbonated soft drink that Scottish Pharmacist Alexander Cameron Sim introduced in 1884.
Ramune bottle-neck is designed in a unique way called Codd-neck and named after the inventor Hiram Codd.
The bottle can be opened in a particular way using a plastic device provided with the bottle by pushing the marble inward.
Ramune is a times very challenging to drink because the marble sometimes might block the flow of the liquid. It required a lot of patience.
How to open Ramune bottle
Step 1: Remove the outer wrapper from the head of the bottle.
Step 2: A plunger topper and a plastic ring is sitting loosely on the best of the bottle. Remove these, also the plastic ring, and set them aside.
Step 3: you will see the ramune soda marble sitting just inside the bottle. Place the plunger topper on top of the marble and strike until the marble falls into the marble chamber (the broader part of the bottle’s neck).
Step 4: Some bottles have two tiny grooves on one side of the marble chamber. Allow the marble to roll towards these grooves when drinking from the bottle. They will prevent the marble from moving further and blocking the flow of the liquid.
